Remember This?……

I was working on a job estimate and ran across this in the job specifications…… I wonder if they still think there’s a chance of a problem from the Y2K bug seven years after the fact, which really ended-up not being that big of a problem in the first place?……
“Year 2000 (Y2K) [...]

Cell Phone Games……

What “Peanut Head” writes those games, anyway?……. I have a Motorola V60i which is ancient by today’s standards and it has only three games on it in the first place…… You’d think that they would make them so that you could at least have a 50-50 chance of winning – better still, they [...]

I really do not want to buy a [...]

Software Recommendations

The Nick Drake post is getting offtrack with computer talk, so I thought I’d start a new post.  Randalf asked about spyware blockers and anti-virus programs. Here’s a quick rundown on various software and service recommendations.  Anyone else, feel free to chime in with your favorites.  Note: I did not perform anywhere close to [...]

American Mindset

Sensing a market opportunity, Net Nanny, makers of Net Nanny filtering software, announced this week it will introduce NetNarrow, an English-only product that automatically filters out content that appears to be international. Specifically, the software looks for world datelines and keywords indicative of irrelevant foreign stories, including “Shiite,” “post-Apartheid,” and “Bob Geldof.”
Survey-taker Craig Barker of [...]
