I was going over to a friend’s house to other day to work on some of the new music we’ve been working on lately and was stopped at a railroad crossing…… While watching the many RR cars going by (we have L-o-n-g trains here), one went by with the following painted on it – “An Eye for an Eye will make the World Blind”…… Something to think about…..

Hey everybody, Hope all of all of you are doing well. I just thought I would check in and see what all in the community are up to. We have been busy down here in the Dust Bowl. I am changing companies next week, hope to be home more. MR and I have been busy helping his sister in law get moved into her new life and home and has been busy with Terraplane making new music. I have heard what has been laid down so far and you guys and gals will be blown away. I have even dipped my toe into the songwriting pool. maybe it can be the 1st recorded by the blog band. As you know the MR move has been put on hold for a while, I must admit I am not sad, I’m Sorry, that is a very self centered way to be, But I consider MR a close friend and it’s cool having him just round the corner (sort of). Anyhoo I just wanted to say hey to the community and hope that all of you are doing well. Remember on behalf of MR, any of you can post anytime you have anything on your mind just start typing. We don’t want this forum to go away because of lack of participation. Free Speech is one of the last rights we have left. Looking forward to hearing from all the community.

Tarn and I saw Hamlet last night put on by Seattle’s Shakespeare in the Park Company, GreenStage. (If you’re ever in Seattle and want some Shakespeare action, they do a great job!) One thing that I realized a while ago when seeing Hamlet in Ashland, was the 1983 comedy movie Strange Brew was losely based-on it. I of course forgot that until after seeing Hamlet again last night. I saw Strange Brew countless times in the 80’s, but haven’t seen it since this realization. Yeah yeah, I might have noticed this before had I not slept through Hamlet in high school. The shame!

Amazing thing happened to me on my bike ride home today: I was stopped at a 4-way red light. A guy in a SUV heading perpendicular was having trouble starting his vehicle. (Apparently it just died.) As soon as my light turned green, I planned to help him. However within seconds a pedestrian across the street (with a Walk), a bike rider, and a guy at the bus stop all were helping push him out of traffic. There I was, Mr. Helpful, stuck on the other side of a red light. He was all taken care of before I could even contribute.

That episode makes me happy to live in Seattle, where people help each other. What community!

It seems like that is what the country is turning into. I travel alot you all know that, and I see the best of America, I also see the worst. Not counting traffic that’s another story.

Just this evening at Wal-ly World, I don’t know whether everyone is just walking around in shock because of the economy or they are just being aholes, We were run into 3 different times without as much as a sorry/excuse me. And just trying to walk down an asle you have to have a dozer blade to get thru, and I mean the Main aisles!. and when you try to get by people look at you as if to say “Why Should I move?” It seems it has become the new meeting place with huge groups of people just standing in the aisles just visiting, I go to the store to get things and then leave. Not to socialize.

Nuff bout Wal-ly. It seems a lot of people that I thought I knew have turned into I Me Mines. It seems that people nowdays do not care how their actions affect others, In the last year I have seen a lot of peoples “True Colors” . They have just dropped out. When I could do no more for them. MR and myself have had dealings with several persons concerning the property left behind by his Brother. Once they got all they wanted, they disappeared. The thing is there’s still work to be done. And people that P.L. Helped throughout the years have not even offered to help out. Some only wanted to help themselves. Also Now that MR is trying to make some changes, and needs help where are all those that he helped over the years? (those of you who might be reading this know who you are, but I doubt you are) Those who have helped also know who you are. This is not directed at you.

Now before I go on, I must chastize myself some. I do things based on how they will affect myself and family, I have made decisions that have effected others because they have worked out better for me ie: I have told my company (so far it has done no good) that I need to get home EVERY Weekend, They tell me what about the other drivers who need to be home, to which I say “They Don’t Pay my Bills or help with my family and friends”.

But for the most part It seems that most people that I come across are out for just themselves and do not care how their actions effect those around them. I make everyday decisions based on how it will effect others. I guess that makes me a dinosaur in this day in age.
Remember everything you do effects someone else.

I know that this was a scathing editorial but I don’t care what others think……..Just kidding. I remember when we looked out for our fellow man, The Hollies said ” He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” now it’s get the hell out of my space and If you can’t do anything to better my status I don’t need you. I guess I was born a generation too late.

You know sometimes I have just too much time alone in the truck, and my mind is really too little to be left alone without proper supervision.

I figure today’s got to be my Lucky Day…… The norm for me comes from the old blues line, “If it wasn’t for Bad Luck, I’d have no Luck at all”….. So, everybody else, watch your step and be careful, and have a safe Friday the 13th…… I’m going to have a great day!….. (Owww, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up – just kidding!)

I don’t think so!….. Here’s a news story that ran on local TV over the past week that should have never been broadcast…… “Due to the high cost of fuel, thieves are now drilling holes in the bottoms of gas tanks with cordless drills in order to steal gas”….. Why do I think this is Irresponsible Reporting?…. #1 – Unless you have a garage or plan to sleep in your vehicle, there’s not a lot you can do to prevent it….. #2 – They just gave every yo-yo in the world the knowledge of a very quick, although very dangerous, way to steal gas, not to mention the huge repair bill the owner faces to repair/replace the damaged tank…… I mean, if they busted a locking gas lid and/or a gas cap and stole the gas, you could at least drive the vehicle after the fact….. I wonder if the automotive repair industry has anything to do with this?….. Maybe they want their cut of the billions of profit dollars the oil industry is raking in………

So-o-o, get ya a cordless drill and low profile pan and hit the local unguarded apartment complex and get ya a free fill-up or two – if you don’t blow yourself up in the process….. The media forgot to mention the dangers of drilling into a gas filled tank and free flowing gas into a pan…..

To give out information like this that does more damage than good is totally irresponsible…… I really think something should be done about the media doing stupid things like this……

What the heck is up with the Weather?….. Has someone came up with a weather control device and attacking the World, or, have we just finally ruined our Planet?….. There were 170 tornadoes in the U.S. just yesterday alone…… We only have two seasons in Oklahoma now – Winter and Summer….. We’re 15-20 degrees warmer than normal right now…… Any theories out there?…..
