Ringo’s Star…..
No, it’s not a typo – Ringo Starr now has his own personal star on the celebrity walk in Hollywood…… This makes him the third Beatle on the walk….. John Lennon and George Harrison already have stars…. I think they were awarded posthumously….. It’s the only reason I can think of that can explain why Paul McCartney doesn’t have one….. Of course, that doesn’t explain why Ringo would get his before Paul….. Not knocking Ringo any, but, Paul and John did the bulk of the Beatles writing, and, Paul’s solo career has definitely been stronger than Ringo’s…. Anyway, good for you, Ringo….. Maybe it was his acting in “Caveman”?……

Maybe it’s because he married his cave woman (Barbara Bach). That would earn a star in my book.

That would definitely qualify him for the extra “r” on his last name – Starr…… Maybe his use of a stage name – Ringo Starr – as opposed to his real name Richard Starkey got him the glory….. None of the other Beatles used stage names, unless, you want to count John, who changed his middle name from Winston to Ono (that’s still “Oh-No” in my books)….. Oh, well, who knows how “Holly wo-o-ud” (Japanese soldier’s pronunciation in the movie “1942”) thinks…..

I’m thinking that Paul doesn’t put as much importance in a star in Hollywood as most people would have you believe it carries. Most people don’t know that the artist has to Pay for the Actual Star and an annual fee for upkeep until their death then their estate either has to keep funding the upkeep or if they die penniless it comes out of a fund. And there’s the fact that some personalities that have gotten stars have not contributed as much entertainment as J,P G,&R.
I thought he said “HOLLYWOO” Because the D had been knocked down by Capt. Wild Bill Kelso’s plane ?

You may be right, but, I thought it was in a different place in the movie…… I’ll dig out the DVD and check it out….. Do you get all this info off of SAT Radio?…… If you do, I might have to check into it…… C-o-o-o-l…….
