Digital Albums…..

It looks like the CD is about to bite the big one……  Most of the new releases are “Digital Albums” only…..  Check Amazon.com …  I’m not sure that I’m quite ready to totally give up hard copies of my music…..  Just what is an “Artist” supposed to autograph at a concert – your ass!…..  Memorable, yes, but, definitely not permanent, and I don’t particularly think I could bring myself to the point of hanging my butt on the wall on display for all my friends to admire/criticize/make jokes, etc. – You get the picture, and, it’s NOT pretty…..

  1. That’s a bitch. Next thing you know it will be credits instead of currency. Actually it already started.

  2. For what it’s worth, welcome to the future….. I don’t see much currency….. I’m just a “Middleman”, what little that comes in gets immediately sent out to keep a roof over my head and food in my tummy….. I do still pay all my monthly bills with checks and make them to send me paper billings, which, at the present, lets me control when I do pay them….. They’re hard at it for me to go with “paperless” e-mail bills and direct withdrawals….. I’m sure, though, sooner or later, probably sooner, they’ll force the issue and make “paperless/direct withdrawals” the ONLY method of payment that they will accept….. Send in the Clowns….. Oh, they’re already here!…..

  3. If Neil Young has any input into that situation we will still have hard copies. As he stated in his book, “I Make Albums” Even with PONO he will still put out albums/CDs

  4. I love the ease of business over the internet. Just had my bank account hacked for $10,000. It was easy.

  5. Now THAT IS a BITCH!….. Hope you can get it back and the hackers get their just rewards….. I try to avoid conducting any business using the internet, but, there are some things, like banking, buying CD’s, etc., that it’s just hard to give up because it is so easy to take care of online….. What a World we live in!…

  6. Yep. FDIC insured. Then I read not all banks have FDIC insured accounts. Some banks use other kinds of insurance which don’t cover all kinds of losses. Best to check what kind of insurance your bank carries.

  7. Excuse me. I meant to say not all bank CD accounts are FDIC insured. That’s one reason the rates are different. (off subject again)

  8. Not that much off track, we’re moving rapidly into a paperless age, which includes currency…… One good EM pulse from any half-ass intelligent outer-space alien race and we would ALL be equally poor…. I’m not too sure that the human race isn’t that far from being able to do it to ourselves – intentionally or unintentionally!…
