What a hoot!  When we first walked in the theater, there was this smell.  Salisbury steak?  Bacon?  DUH!  It was fried Spam!!  What a crazy thought.  Here was our fancy theater serving fried Spam sandwiches.  Fortunately a friend snapped a pic.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div align=\"center\"><img id=\"image606\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mrambler.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/spamspamspam.jpg\" alt=\"Spam at Spamalot\" \/><\/div>\n<p>As for the musical itself, it was a good time.  For me, the actual Holy Grail bits weren&#8217;t as funny as the originals (how could they be) and took some getting used to (slow speaking minus British accents).  But there is much more to this musical than the Holy Grail content.  It makes fun of other musicals while twisting up bits of Monty Python material.  I recommend it to Python fans and anyone who likes musicals + silliness.<\/p>\n<p>For those in OK, the musical is playing at the Civic Center June 3-8, 2008.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year I went to see the Spamalot musical.
