{"id":2321,"date":"2013-02-17T13:37:15","date_gmt":"2013-02-17T18:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrambler.com\/blog\/?p=2321"},"modified":"2013-02-17T13:37:15","modified_gmt":"2013-02-17T18:37:15","slug":"the-hitchhikers-guide-to-the-galaxy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mrambler.com\/blog\/2013\/02\/17\/the-hitchhikers-guide-to-the-galaxy\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide To The Galaxy&#8221;&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I recently bought the <strong>&#8220;Ultimate&#8221;<\/strong> edition of<strong> &#8220;The Guide&#8221;<\/strong> for my <strong><em>Nook<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;. \u00c2\u00a0I am now reading it again on my <em><strong>Nook<\/strong><\/em> which is not unlike the book,<strong><em>&#8220;The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>, which is a book that <em>Ford Prefect<\/em> carries around with him in the storyline of the book, <strong><em>&#8220;The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0Not confusing if you are a fan of <em>Douglas Adams<\/em> and <em><strong>&#8220;The Guide&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0<em>Douglas Adams<\/em> was definitely ahead of his time as <em><strong>&#8220;The Guide&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> is described as an <strong>&#8220;Electronic Book&#8221;<\/strong>, small enough for a hitchhiker to carry around in his pocket, containing millions of pages of information, all accessible by pushing the right buttons&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s amazing when you take into consideration that <em><strong>&#8220;The Guide&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> was published in <strong>1979<\/strong>, thirty some odd years before the <em><strong>Nook<\/strong><\/em> came into existence&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0The only thing that <em>Douglas Adams<\/em> missed in his electronic <em><strong>&#8220;Guide&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> was touch screen technology!&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0I am fairly sure that at the rate I am going, I will have millions of pages of information on my <em><strong>Nook<\/strong><\/em>&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0I already have thousands on it and it has not used up it&#8217;s built-in memory as of yet &#8211; And, I have a <em>32 Gig SD card<\/em> installed!&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0Yep, I predict I&#8217;ll have millions of pages on it before I&#8217;m done&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0I am seriously considering adding the two comforting words that appear on front cover of <em><strong>&#8220;The Guide&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; <strong>DON&#8217;T PANIC<\/strong> &#8211; <em>B&amp;N<\/em> should consider making such a book cover for the <em><strong>Nook<\/strong><\/em>&#8230;. \u00c2\u00a0It would be a outrageously successfully accepted venture&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0I would buy one!&#8230;.. \u00c2\u00a0Well, <em><strong>&#8220;So Long and Thanks for All the Fish&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently bought the &#8220;Ultimate&#8221; edition of &#8220;The Guide&#8221; for my Nook&#8230;. \u00c2\u00a0I am now reading it again on my Nook which is not unlike the book,&#8220;The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy&#8221;, which is a book that Ford Prefect carries around with him in the storyline of the book, &#8220;The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy&#8221;&#8230;..
