Since I’m going to be heading out of town on Thursday<\/strong>, and, as par for the course, I’m not packed and ready yet, I thought I would Post<\/strong><\/em> this Archive<\/strong><\/em> a bit early…. Since there was a request for “King Crimson”<\/strong>, here’s “Terraplane’s”<\/strong><\/em> version of “Lark’s Tongue in Aspic<\/a>“, and since this is an instrumental, I thought I would throw in our version of a “Jethro Tull”<\/strong> track called “Bungle in the Jungle<\/a>” with Randy<\/strong><\/em> on\u00c2\u00a0Vocals<\/em>…. These were recorded on August 26, 1975<\/strong> on the OU<\/strong><\/em> campus live and outside between the Housing Towers<\/em>….. These cuts are the most heard of any of our stuff, as I made a CD<\/strong> from them in 2000<\/em> for the band members<\/em> and a few friends<\/em>…. Again, this was recorded on my self-built<\/em> HeathKit<\/strong> cassette deck placed about 100 feet out in front of the stage with two little cheap mikes (the good ones were on the stage<\/em>)…. I made a direct copy<\/em> of the cassette to a CD recorder<\/em> – There was no tweaking, post editing, processing, compression<\/em>…. What you hear is what the audience heard that day….<\/strong><\/p>\n

The personnel in “Terraplane”<\/strong><\/em> changed on occasion…. We’ll call this one: Terraplane Main Version<\/strong>, as the bulk of our recorded output came from this line-up…. The members were Randy Stark<\/strong><\/em>: Lead Vocals, Moog, Flute<\/em> – Roger Harrison<\/strong><\/em>: Vocals, Bass<\/em> – Rick Lopez<\/strong><\/em>: Drums, Occasional vocal harassment of the audience and band members (in jest, of course)<\/em> – Dan Rowell<\/strong><\/em>: Vocals, Lead Guitar, Guitar<\/em> – MRambler<\/strong><\/em>: Vocals, Slide Guitar, Guitar, Harp<\/em>….<\/p>\n

Here’s what the CD<\/strong><\/em> cover front and back<\/em> looked like…. I’m going to have to run me off a copy as it seems PD Bob<\/strong><\/em> made a coaster<\/em> out of the one I had (A-R-R-GH!)<\/strong><\/em>..

\nThe back cover shot<\/em> was from a rehearsal we did out on “The Farm”<\/strong><\/em> on N.E. 63rd St.<\/em>, Spencer, OK<\/strong><\/em> … I Might be talked into making a few extra copies if enough people indicate that they would be wanting to “Live in the Past”….
