Just finished listening to “Fire and Rain”<\/em> by James Taylor<\/strong>…… \u00c2\u00a0My mind wandered a bit and I started comparing the song’s title to our weather this Summer<\/em> in Oklahoma<\/strong>…… \u00c2\u00a0The “Fire”<\/strong> part we have exceeded<\/em> on all levels – Temp wise<\/em> we tied the all-time record of days over 100<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0(50 Days)\u00c2\u00a0Saturday<\/strong>, and since we still have plenty of HOT<\/strong> days left in the Season<\/strong>, I’m sure we will break it in the next day or two….. \u00c2\u00a0Wildfire wise<\/em> – We’ve had ’em large and destructive everywhere mainly due to the fact the “Rain”<\/strong> part has come little and far between, and at an expensive price<\/em>….. \u00c2\u00a0When you have temps in excess of 100 and a little moisture in the air, you get what’s called “Micro-Burst”<\/strong> or “Down Draft”<\/strong> thunderstorms<\/em> that cause “Gust Fronts”<\/strong> up to and in excess of 100 MPH<\/strong> (F-1 Tornado level – only straight not twisty<\/em>)…… \u00c2\u00a0JT<\/strong> didn’t include “Wind”<\/strong> in his song – He should have<\/em>…… \u00c2\u00a0Example:<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0A few weeks ago we got less than 1\/4 inch<\/strong> of rain….. \u00c2\u00a0The Price<\/strong> of this precious little bit of moisture was 50,000 businesses and homes without electric- 100 year old trees uprooted – Damage\/total destruction to houses, property, animals, vehicles, etc….<\/em> \u00c2\u00a0All for just a drop or two of rain that turned into a short “Steambath”<\/strong> the next day……<\/p>\n

What does all this mean?<\/strong>…… \u00c2\u00a0Who knows?…… \u00c2\u00a0I don’t know which is gotten worse – The Weather<\/strong> or The Politicians.<\/strong>…. \u00c2\u00a0We need a change on both fronts or as they said in the ’50’s<\/strong> it’s time to, “Put your Head between your legs and Kiss Your Ass Goodbye<\/strong>“<\/em>…… \u00c2\u00a0Maybe Chicken Little<\/strong> was right?……<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
