I woke up this morning to a weird smell coming from the kitchen….. I found PD Bob busy at work making a mess….. Somewhere he came up with some Water Buffalo Ribs that he had been cooking in barbecue sauce all night long…. I think he actually expects to serve them for dinner today…. He’s prancing around, proud as punch with himself, so I guess I’m going to have to try them, no matter what….. I’m calling him “Buffalo Bob” now…. I don’t even know if they have Water Buffalo in China!…. Anyone want to come for dinner?……

…..That needs to be made SOON!….. Over the past few months, I’ve had 233 User Registration Requests, The same number of E-mail complaints because I turned down THE (as in one) author of the requests, and, lately, I have awoke to onion juice and pepper soaked notes pinned to my pillow stating, “I WANT TO MAKE MY OWN POSTS ON THE BLOG – OR ELSE!”….. I am most amazed at the little Furball’s ability to come up with 233 variations of “Prairie Dog Bob” for a User Name……

I am fully aware that Jek and I have to ability to edit and/or delete anything he Posts or Comments on, but, it wouldn’t surprise me if that, once he’s in, he may take over the Blog completely!…..

PDB and I had a long discussion (again) over it, and came to a compromise…… If he can get enough of the MR Community to support letting him become a member, I’ll approve one of his 233 applications….. So, it’s up to you, fellow members – “Should PD Bob be approved and accepted into the MR Community?”…… He’s agreed to stop with the notes on my pillow (for now) and abide by the majority….. He claims he would be a great asset to the Goofiness, and has lots of “Good Stuff” we need to know about…… So-o-o, What Say You?……

I found PD Bob hangin’ out at a local swap meet….. He had been, as he called it, researching the local inhabitants….. He was disguised as the gopher from “Caddyshack”….. I had to pay a buck to get him back….. I don’t know if it was worth it or not…. He claims he picked up a lot of “Paraprosdokians” (yes, it’s a word)….. Here are some of the ones PDB lives by:

“Where there’s a will, I want to be in it”
“Don’t argue with a Moron – They’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience”
“The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it’s still on my list”
“If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong”
“War doesn’t determine who’s right – Only who’s left”
“To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism – To steal from many is research”
“I thought I wanted a career. Turns out I just wanted paychecks”
“I didn’t say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you”
“A clear conscience is the sign of a fuzzy memory”
“You don’t need a parachute to skydive – You only need one to skydive twice”
“Money can’t buy happiness, but it sure makes misery easier to live with”
“I used to be indecisive – Now I’m not so sure”
“You’re never too old to learn something stupid”
“Change is inevitable except from a vending machine”
“The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese”

PD Bob may have some valid points here, but, I’m not telling him that….. I have enough trouble with him the way he is……

I would’ve Posted this sooner, but, there was this visit from Jek….. He proceeded to re-invent my computer and reorganize everything!….. As soon as he left MR HQ, P.D. Bob decided he didn’t like any outsider (to him) messin’ about with the layout of things – so-o-o, he promptly reorganized everything to his liking….. Needless to say, I couldn’t find anything, personal or otherwise….. I just now found my laptop…. PDB was using it as a display base for his stuffed field mice collection…. UUGH!…. He’s on my list permanently…..

Anyways, back to PDB’s new invention….. The “Forked Tongue Weather Predicting Antenna”….. Here it is:

Here’s how it works: As soon as you receive your FTWP Antenna by refrigerated truck, install it where your factory antenna is installed…. The FTWP Antenna will begin immediately predicting the weather…. If the clear section of the antenna remains frozen, it’s still Winter…. If it slowly starts to lean and melt, then it’s above freezing, and, it’s still Winter, maybe early Spring….. If it melts before you can install it completely, then it’s definitely Summer….. The steel section of the FTWPA works almost as good as the antenna you just removed….. Oh, yeah, you can’t move the vehicle while the FTWPA is operating….. Be the first on your block to own one…. Only Three (3) payments of $19.95 plus $200.00 Shipping and Handling….. One of an extensive line of little known products from PDB Productions, Inc, LTD, etc…… THIS PRODUCT HAS A “BUYER BEWARE” WARNING….. Happy non-motoring……

……So says Prairie Dog Bob, and, he did NOT see his shadow, so, it’s going to be an early Spring…… PDB says that the term “Ground Hog” is a derogatory slang term for the noble, intelligent, handsome, and strong Prairie Dog….. Don’t ever call PDB a “Terra Hog”, at least, not in his presence……

PD Bob and I watched that, as PDB called him, “stupid, dumb, and over-rated #%^&#@ Hog” in Poxi-whatever-tony, PA say that he saw his shadow meaning six more weeks of Winter….. Our local weatherman pointed out that it was impossible for him to see his shadow as it was cloudy and snowy all the way from Maine to Oklahoma….. The shadow he saw was from all the media lights….. DuuH….. No wonder he sees his shadow every year!…… PD Bob immediately started planning a mission to visit this “Rat in a Prairie Dog suit” and straighten him out horizontally……

Anyway, dig out your copy of “Ground Hog Day” (sorry, PDB, but that is the name of the movie), and give it a watch…… I’ve got PDB looking for my copy right now…… He’s doing it, but, keeping mumbling something about animal profiling, and how can anyone call a PD “Dog” a G “Hog”?…..

…PDB has gone missing!!! He disappeared sometime while I was in the Great NorthWest….. When I returned MR HQ was totally ram-sacked….. I found the following sketch lying in a dark corner……

I’ve been so busy checking all his known hangouts, phoning any and all of his connections I know, and so far no PDB….. I know he was working underground on important stuff that will effect all our futures….. Hopefully, he hasn’t fallen into evil hands….. If the furry, fuzzbot shows up at your door, give him all the cooperation he requests, no matter how outlandish it might seem – And please notify me via this Blog with the codeword “Peanut”….. The future of our nation may depend on it!!!!…. (Note to Anon: Told you…. eh?…..

…..Remember Prairie Dog Bob?……. I had almost forgotten about him as he has been gone on some extended adventure for a couple of months……. Actually everything around here had become calm and serene…… Well, he finally burst into MR Headquarters yesterday, wheezing, sneezing, coughing, and sweating….. Not only was his face pale, his fur even looked pale…… As he collapsed onto the closest chair, I noticed he had a thermometer sticking out of his mouth and was mumbling incoherently about not feeling well…… I said, “No lie, you look like Death warmed over”….. I immediately grabbed a dust mask and slapped it on….. I didn’t know what he had, but, I was sure I didn’t want it……

After I gave him some allergy and cold medication, he finally calmed down enough to tell me he had the Piglet Flu (P1D1 Virus) – the Prairie Dog version of the Swine Flu (H1N1 Virus)…… I still wasn’t sure that I wasn’t in danger of contracting whatever PDB had, so I tightened the mask up and began sanitizing any and everything in the entire HQ…… It smells just like a hospital in here now….

PD Bob seems much better today, and, I don’t think I contracted anything new – my allergies are so bad, I can’t really tell….. As soon as he wakes up I’m going to quiz him as to where he has been and just what is Piglet Flu as compared to Swine Flu….. Yes, I still have my mask on…… More to come…..
