And you know how time fades.... time fades away.
Is it better to burn out, than to fade away?
Depends on your mileage.

They may be fading, but, it still seems they are being constantly called upon to show the "new" generations the exact definition of Rock 'n' Roll.... They just released a new Hendrix album - "Valleys of Neptune" - 40 years after his passing, Jimi reaches out from the grave and proves he is still second to none..... A must for any music fan - It makes me want to pack-up my guitar and admit, "Yes, I know I play a bad guitar"......

It seems we don't have adequate replacements for them as of yet..... Where will it all go when they finally retire?..... I don't want to think about it......

I have a friend who just attended a Robert Plant-Eric Clapton show in K.C. He said Plant's voice was shot. However, Clapton & Jeff Beck are planning on a tour soon. That could be interesting.
Yes time is fleeting, the old rockers are fading fast.

It's a known proven fact, at least in my world, that time goes faster when you reach retirement, therefore, you have less time to dive-in to those grand schemes than before, not alone get any of them finished!..... Time is definitely not linear - You have to watch it, or it will fold and warp on back on you.....

It's funny you have all these grand plans of things you are going to do when you retire. Then, when it arrives, you do less than you did when you were working full time. One of the ironies of life, I suppose.

I have added it to my massive "to do" list...... I can't say it will be soon, but, it won't be a super long time..... Maybe somewhere in the medium long time frame.... We'll just bill it as "Coming No Later Than Summer 2010 (Maybe sooner)"...... Glad to pin that down for you, Sunn....

If you can believe it, I even sang lead on it..... Since I don't sing that much, and then mostly Blues, I was even surprised that it sounded as good as it does...... I have a recording of it made in a local OKC club..... I might post it as soon as I can find the disc - still unpacking and setting up the new MR HQ right now......

MR, you were in a band that covered "Won't Get Fooled Again"? Pretty impressive. That would be a difficult song to make sound right.
