Yeah, JEK told me they had been holed-up in the guest bedroom, which is located among all the "more crap = more insulation" (as HS says) in the basement of their house...... Looks like you are off the hook - at least for a while - as the "Heat Dome" has returned to us and it's back to normal summer...... It's hot and it's humid, but, we are somewhat conditioned to the heat since it's been hot around here since April, and, everybody has A/C in their homes..... We've had a couple of power outages, and, it was tough putting up with the heat..... I can't image how it was for you in Seattle without A/C and not being used to the extreme heat..... My sweaty hatband off to ya, Anon!........

Having been up there in 1994 when it hit 100 degF, I can vouch that those temps are absolutely miserable (and frankly, dangerous for some people) with no A/C. In the middle of the country, it's just summer.

Yes, 103. Only the second time Seattle has hit 100 and a record. Also record number of days over 90. Going for a record number of days without rain. Cool weather has returned. Heading for the dry season.

You poor, poor bastards in the heat dome.

Did it really get to 103 there, Anon?..... Man, I feel for you, but, all should be well, or, at least, better as the "Heat Dome" has now returned to it's normal place and we are now having more of the 100+ temps..... The remainder of this week shows 100 or more through Sunday..... Then we get a break - it drops to 99 for a couple of days.... I think we are going to more than pay for that short period of cool, wet weather we stole from you...... Well, it's Summer, and it is Oklahoma....
